MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (February 3, 2021) — The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff has been notified of 100 new confirmed COVID-19 cases reported today. Of those, 5 are also new deaths as well.
Of those five new deaths. Two are from the Lake Havasu City service area. One is 50-59 and one is 80-89. Two new deaths are also from the Kingman service area. One is 70-79 and one is 80-89. The final new death is a 70-79 person in the Bullhead City service area.
Of the 100 new confirmed cases, there are 36 new cases in the Bullhead City service area, there are 35 new cases in the Lake Havasu City service area. There are 28 new cases in the Kingman service area. There is 1 new case in the North County service area. There are 0 new cases in an Undetermined area of the county.
Of the 36 new Bullhead City cases. Thirty of them remain under investigation. One is 11-19; three are 30-39; five are 40-49; eight are 50-59; nine are 60-69; two are 70-79; two are 80-89.
Five of the Bullhead City area cases are recovering at home and are linked to another case. Two are 0-10; two are 11-19; one is 60-69. The 36th case is the new death mentioned above.
Of the 35 Lake Havasu City area cases, 33 remain under investigation. Two are 0-10; three are 11-19; two are 20-29; ten are 30-39; four are 40-49; three are 50-59; four are 60-69; three are 70-79; one is 80-89; one is 90+. The final two Lake Havasu City area cases are the two new deaths mentioned above.
Of the 28 Kingman area cases, 24 remain under investigation. Two are 11-19; four are 20-29; five are 30-39; one is 50-59; eight are 60-69; one is 70-79; three are 80-89. Two of the Kingman area cases are recovering at home and are linked to another case. Both are 50-59. The final two Kingman area cases are the deaths mentioned above.
The final case is the solo one in North County, a 40-49 person and that case is still under investigation.

*Here Is the Latest Vaccination Update Info:
- Transfer of 300 doses to Embry BHC.
- Public Health transferred 500 doses from MCDPH to Embry-KGM – requested increase in the hours of operation and number of appointments per day. Embry on board to increase next week.
- Safeway/Albertsons has developed a plan to increase their ability to distribute vaccine– This will start next week with a drive-through vaccination site accommodating approx. 320 people in addition to the 40 per day, per location, Anticipate use of approximately 1,000 doses among all sites listed next week.
- Public Health working with providers on reporting issues to ensure doses administered are reported to state.
- People who are not currently eligible for the vaccine are scheduling through Embry link and are taking space from those who are currently eligible. (For example, if an individual who, under our current 1B sub-category rules is under 75 Years and Older and makes an appointment, that person will not be given a vaccination upon showing up at vaccination site.)
- The difference between ADHS web page report and MCDPH numbers is due to “delays in reporting” (related to EMR sync or staffing issues)
- Future allocations decisions will be based on 80+% of doses (past – 100%, future – 80+%) utilized. Limited inventory allowed.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: Embry is giving Vaccinations in Lake Havasu City, Bullhead City, and Kingman at each of the Mohave Community College campuses for the 75 Years & Older sub-category in Phase 1B. They join other providers in those three cities. Individuals Must Have an Appointment to get a shot.
Extra help is in place with our County COVID Call Center for the 75 Years & Older sub-category who do not have access to the Internet and/or a computer. Those individuals can now register for the Embry sites and get the appointment set up with Embry ONLY by calling this special number 928-753-8665.
