Lake Havasu City Event Successful

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 9, 2021) Mohave County has been allocated 10,000 Moderna doses and 300 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine for next week. Although the Moderna vaccine is sufficient to meet current demand, the J & J vaccine allocation is 1/10th the amount the county received last week.  Please check with your provider if the J & J vaccine is crucial to your needs.

County Health Director Denise Burley says Wednesday’s vaccination event in Lake Havasu City, hosted by the county, was successful. There were a total of 255 doses put into arms. Burley says, “I cannot emphasize enough that this is a great time to get a COVID-19 vaccination. We feel there is an adequate supply to meet the current demand.  Please step forward, contact a provider and make that key appointment.  In some cases, individuals can even get a same day appointment.”

Meanwhile, the County Health Department presented changes in the COVID-19 reports at last Monday’s Board of Supervisors meeting.  The Board voted unanimously to accept the changes.  One result is that beginning Monday (April 12th), the daily COVID-19 case count will be delivered three days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

For those having difficulty making an appointment, for some reason, help is available by contacting our County COVID Call Center at 928-753-8665.
