150+ acre wildfire in Mohave Valley

Fire crews from Mohave Valley Fire Department and the Kingman BLM work a 150+ acre wildfire in Mohave Valley.

Cruise on the fire Sunday continued to mop up hot spots along the perimeter used dozer to improve the perimeter. The control lines continue to hold throughout the day. There will be units patrolling in the evening.

Units from Mohave Valley Fire, Bullhead fire, Golden Shores fire, Golden valley fire, Desert Hills fire, San Bernardino county fire and BLM Colorado River District worked to contain a wildfire just east of Marina Coves Subdivision in lower Mohave valley. The fire is currently at approximately 150 acres. The crews worked hard and used fire to fight fire and contain this fire. Currently no structures damaged. No reported injuries reported two firefighters or civilians. There will continue to be units on the fire throughout the night And more crews coming in tomorrow. No evacuation orders at this time. The fire is currently under investigation. Mohave valley fire department asked that all civilians use caution when in the fire area for firefighter and civilian safety.
