175 New COVID-19 Cases Reported SINCE Friday Noon

PLUS 6 New Deaths

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (February 8, 2021) — The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff has been notified of 175 new confirmed COVID-19 cases reported since Friday noon. There are also 6 new deaths.

Of the 6 new deaths in the county, ALL are from previously reported cases. Three are from the Lake Havasu City service area.  One of those is 50-59; one is 70-79; one is 80-89.

There are two deaths in the Kingman service area.  One is 60-69 and one is 90+.

The 6th and final death is a 70-79 person in the Bullhead City service area.

Of the 175 new confirmed cases, there are 81 new cases in the Bullhead City service area, there are 50 new cases in the Kingman service area. There are 40 new cases in the Lake Havasu City service area. There are 3 new cases in the North County service area. There is 1 new case in an Undetermined area of the county.

Of the 81 new confirmed cases in the Bullhead City area, 79 remain under investigation.  Six are 0-10; seven are 11-19; ten are 20-29; seven are 30-39; six are 40-49; seventeen are 50-59; fourteen are 60-69; nine are 70-79; three are 80-89. The final two Bullhead City area cases are both recovering at home and are linked to another confirmed case.  One is 11-19 and the other is 70-79.

Of the 50 new cases in the Kingman area, 43 remain under investigation. Five are 0-10; two are 11-19; three are 20-29; three are 30-39; five are 40-49; five are 50-59; eight are 60-69; nine are 70-79; three are 80-89. The remaining seven cases are ALL recovering at home and are linked to another confirmed case.  One is 0-10; one is 20-29; four are 30-39; one is 60-69.

ALL 40 new cases in the Lake Havasu City area remain under investigation. Three are 0-10; five are 11-19; six are 20-29; three are 30-39; ten are 40-49; four are 50-59; four are 60-69; three are 70-79; two are 80-89.

There are 3 new cases in the North County area. ALL of them are still under investigation. One is 60-69; two are 70-79.

The final new case is in an Undetermined area of the county.  It is a 60-69 person and the case is under investigation.

The COVID vaccine will be administered by your local Safeway pharmacists at the Mohave County Fair Grounds. Must show proof of eligibility at event or you will be turned away. This includes Phase 1a healthcare workers, Phase 1b Protective services and those 75+. Vaccine will only be administered to those who are currently eligible and make an appointment using the link. Please be prepared to show your driver’s license or other documents to provide proof of eligibility. Make sure to bring both your medical and prescription insurance cards, including your Medicare Part B card (red, white and blue card) if applicable. This is a drive thru clinic, please follow the signs, remain in your vehicle, and wear a mask.

 *IMPORTANT NOTE: Embry is giving Vaccinations in Lake Havasu City, Bullhead City, and Kingman at each of the Mohave Community College campuses for the 75 Years & Older sub-category in Phase 1B. They join other providers in those three cities. Individuals Must Have an Appointment to get a shot.

Extra help is in place with our County COVID Call Center for the 75 Years & Older sub-category who do not have access to the Internet and/or a computer. Those individuals can now register for the Embry sites and get the appointment set up with Embry ONLY by calling this special number   928-753-8665.  The call center will also answer any other questions on COVID-19.  There are 6 people answering the calls, so please be patient. They will get to you.  Thank you!

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Mohave County Department of Public Health staff review case information for accuracy and completeness.  There are a number of reasons for the adjustments, including the removal of cases that did not have a permanent address in Mohave County, reconciliation of cases reported twice or not originally reported, and removal of probable cases.
