197 New COVID-19 Cases Since Monday at Noon

Plus 5 New Deaths

25,845 Total Positives / 744 Total Deaths

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (September 1, 2021) — The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff has been notified of 197 confirmed COVID-19 cases reported since Monday at noon. There are also 5 new deaths from previously reported positive cases.

Of the 5 new deaths, there are 3 from the Kingman service area. One is 30-39; one is 70-79; one is 90+. There is 1 new death in the Bullhead City service area, a 40-49 person. The final death is a 50-59 individual in the North County service area.

Of the 197 new confirmed cases, there are 86 new confirmed cases in the Bullhead City service area There are 78 new confirmed cases in the Kingman service area. There are 28 new confirmed cases in the Lake Havasu City service area. There are 2 new confirmed cases in the North County service area. There are 3 new cases in an Undetermined or unknown area of the county.

ALL 197 new cases remain under investigation.

Of the 86 new confirmed cases in the Bullhead City area, thirteen are 0-10; thirteen are 11-19; nine are 20-29; eleven are 30-39; nineteen are 40-49; six are 50-59; seven are 60-69; three are 70-79; three are 80-89; two are 90+.

Of the 78 new confirmed cases in the Kingman area, seven are 0-10; nine are 11-19; nine are 20-29; thirteen are 30-39; sixteen are 40-49; eleven are 50-59; ten are 60-69; two are 70-79; one is 80-89.

Of the 28 new confirmed cases in the Lake Havasu City area, five are 11-19; four are 20-29; three are 30-39; six are 40-49; five are 50-59; four are 60-69; one is 70-79.

Of the 2 new confirmed cases in the North County area, one is 11-19 and one is 70-79.

The final 3 new confirmed cases are in an Undetermined/Unknown area of the county. Two are 20-29 and one is 50-59.

Reducing COVID-19 Hospitalizations

Early intervention with monoclonal antibody infusion therapy can shorten the duration of COVID-19 symptoms and reduce the risk of severe illness and hospitalization. This is becoming increasingly important as a surge of patients with the Delta variant continues to strain hospital resources.

The therapy is available to the following people:

Individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are within ten days of symptom onset
• Unvaccinated individuals who have had close contact with a COVID-positive person
• Vaccinated individuals who are immunocompromised and have had close contact with a COVID-positive person

COVID-19 Cases are on the rise in many parts of the U.S., including Mohave County. Well over 90% of all those who are hospitalized, were not vaccinated. The Mohave County Health Department continues to urge all residents to get fully vaccinated. At this point, Mohave County has under 40% vaccinated. Pfizer Vaccine Now Available to

12-17 Year Olds in Mohave County

The Mohave County Department of Public Health has now allocated Pfizer vaccine to the following providers this week. Two doses are required and this vaccine can be administered to the 12-17 age group. In Mohave County, that is approximately 10,000 individuals.)
