262 New COVID-19 Cases Since Monday at Noon

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (August 25, 2021) — The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff has been notified of 262 confirmed COVID-19 cases reported since Monday at noon. There are also 2 new deaths from previously reported positive cases.
One of the 2 new deaths is a 40-49 person from the Kingman service area.
The 2nd death is a 60-69 person from the Lake Havasu City service area.
Of the 262 new confirmed cases, there are 84 new confirmed cases in the Bullhead City service area There are 141 new confirmed cases in the Kingman service area. There are 36 new confirmed cases in the Lake Havasu City service area. There are 0 new confirmed cases in the North County service area. There is 1 new case in an Undetermined or unknown area of the county.
ALL 262 new cases remain under investigation.
Of the 84 new confirmed cases in the Bullhead City area, ten are 0-10; sixteen are 11-19; eleven are 20-29; six are 30-39; seventeen are 40-49; seven are 50-59; eight are 60-69; five are 70-79; four are 80-89.
Of the 141 new confirmed cases in the Kingman area, twelve are 0-10; twenty-two are 11-19; twenty-three are 20-29; twenty-three are 30-39; twelve are 40-49; twenty are 50-59; twenty are 60-69; seven are 70-79; one is 80-89; one is 90+.
Of the 36 new confirmed cases in the Lake Havasu City area, two are 0-10; four are 11-19; five are 20-29; seven are 30-39; five are 40-49; five are 50-59; four are 60-69; four are 70-79.
The final case is a 20-29 person in an Unknown or Undetermined area of the county.

Important Updated Local Information on
Reducing COVID-19 Hospitalizations
Early intervention with monoclonal antibody infusion therapy can shorten the duration of COVID-19 symptoms and reduce the risk of severe illness and hospitalization. This is becoming increasingly important as a surge of patients with the Delta variant continues to strain hospital resources.
The therapy is available to the following people:
- Individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are within ten days of symptom onset
• Unvaccinated individuals who have had close contact with a COVID-positive person
• Vaccinated individuals who are immunocompromised and have had close contact with a COVID-positive person

COVID-19 Cases are on the rise in many parts of the U.S., including Mohave County. Well over 90% of all those who are hospitalized, were not vaccinated. The Mohave County Health Department continues to urge all residents to get fully vaccinated. At this point, Mohave County has under 40% vaccinated. If you haven’t been fully immunized yet, please help our county reach a much higher percentage of vaccinations. The Delta variant is here and hospitalizations have increased locally.

Pfizer Vaccine Now Available to
12-17 Year Olds in Mohave County
The Mohave County Department of Public Health has now allocated Pfizer vaccine to the following providers this week. Two doses are required and this vaccine can be administered to the 12-17 age group. In Mohave County, that is approximately 10,000 individuals.)

Riverside Pharmacy
- Lake Havasu City: Sunrise Pharmacy

Steps you can take to prevent the spread of COVID-19 include:

- Stay at least 6 feet away from others who do not live with you
- Avoid crowds
- Avoid poorly ventilated spaces
- Wash your hands often
- Cover coughs and sneezes
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces
- Stay home if you feel sick
- Monitor your health daily
