LAUGHLIN–The annual Chef’s Food Fest will be held Thursday, June 7 and tickets are now on sale, according to the Laughlin Chamber of Commerce.
The Chef’s Food Fest is well known as a leading community experience and has been a sellout for the past thirty years. Guests will dine on endless courses, fine beverages, and exquisite confections prepared by some of our areas top chefs and mixologists.
The Chef’s Food Fest will be held inside The Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin and the theme chosen this year is “Flavors of the Deep South” which follows suit with the ever-popular “Flavors of the Desert” theme from last year’s event.
Last year, we introduced the first ever “secret ingredient”–Prickly Pear Cactus, which was a required ingredient to be used in at least one of the Chef’s masterpieces in order to be judged. This year, the chef’s will also have a secret ingredient that will be announced at a later date and expected to be used in at least one of the edible presentations. The best use of this ingredient will win the newest trophy category: “Best Use of Secret Ingredient”. Other categories include “Best Booth”, “Best Food”, “Best Dessert”, and “Best Drink”.
A live charity auction that benefits the River Fund, Inc. will also be included in this year’s event.
Each year, the Laughlin Chamber makes a commitment to donate a minimum of $15,000 to the River Fund, Inc., and in some past years over $20,000 has been donated to the local non-profit organization.
Tickets are $75 per person or $750 for a table of 10. Seating will be assigned.
Anyone interested in participating is asked to contact michelle@laughlinchamber.com for more information. The Laughlin Chamber is also accepting charity auction donations as well as sponsorships.
