33 New COVID-19 Cases Reported Today

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (February 23, 2021) — The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff has been notified of 33 new confirmed COVID-19 cases reported today. There are 4 new deaths.

Of the 4 new deaths, ALL occurred from previously reported positive cases.  Two of those are in the Bullhead City service area.  Both are 70-79.  One death, 70-79 is in the Lake Havasu City service area. The final death, 60-69, is in the Kingman service area.

Of the 33 new confirmed cases, there are 12 new cases in the Bullhead City service area. There are 11 new cases in the Kingman service area. There are 8 new cases in the Lake Havasu City service area. There is 1 new case in the North County service area. There 1 new case in an Undetermined area of the county.

ALL 12 cases in the Bullhead City area are from previously reported cases.  One is 0-10; three are 20-29; one is 30-39; three are 40-49; three are 60-69; one is 70-79.

Of the 11 new cases in the Kingman area, 8 are still under investigation.  One is 20-29l one is 30-39; three are 50-59; three are 60-69. The remaining 3 Kingman area cases are recovering at home and are linked to another case.  One is 0-10; one is 11-19; one is 20-29.

ALL 8 of the Lake Havasu City area cases are under investigation.  Two are 20-29; one is 50-59; three are 60-69; two are 70-79.

The solo case in the North County service area is 11-19.  The single case in an Unknown area of the county is 60-69.  Both of those cases are still under investigation.

NOTE: Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) has opened its COVID-19 vaccine clinic to the public― beginning with adults age 75 and older. In coordination with the Mohave County Department of Public Health, During the prior administration phases, KRMC vaccinated hospital staff (Phase 1A) and Protective Services Occupations. (Phase 1B,Category 1). Now, the hospital is transitioning to Phase 1B, Category 2, 75 Years  and Older. KRMC is providing the COVID-19 vaccination BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. People ages 75 and Older can schedule an appointment by calling 928-263-3945. There is no charge for the COVID-19 vaccine. Photo ID and masks are required at time of service.

    • 1B – Adults with Risk Conditions in Congregate Settings – Pending/Not Started

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Mohave County Department of Public Health staff review case information for accuracy and completeness.  There are a number of reasons for the adjustments, including the removal of cases that did not have a permanent address in Mohave County, reconciliation of cases reported twice or not originally reported, and removal of probable cases.

Steps you can take to prevent the spread of COVID-19 include:

ü  Avoid crowds

ü  Avoid poorly ventilated spaces

ü  Wash your hands often

ü  Stay home if you feel sick
