We would like to express our gratitude for our wonderful premier sponsor: Tri-State Community Healthcare Center, category sponsors: The New Pioneer, Shurte Construction, Manpower, Tri-State WiFi, DrypMedic, media sponsors: Cameron Broadcasting, Murphy Broadcasting, Radio Central, photography sponsor: DayjaLite Photo Productions, and our centerpiece sponsor: The Event Station. As always, a major thanks to Golden Entertainment, Aquarius Casino Resort and its Banquet Team for hosting the evening’s festivities. We are truly grateful to our Volunteer’s In Partnership for providing assistance throughout the night.

We also need to send a special thanks to Chef Eric Fox, who was selected to be this year’s ‘Secret Ingredient’ judge. Fox, owner of Pro-Fit-Kitchin and former Food & Beverage Director at Harrah’s Laughlin had the opportunity to taste each of the “maple” submissions provided by each of the culinary and mixologist teams last night. He based his decision on: Presentation, Taste & Creativity.

The Chef’s Food Fest is well known as a leading community experience and has been a sellout nearly every year. During the evening our 550+ guests enjoyed endless courses, fine beverages, and exquisite confections prepared by some of our area’s top chefs and mixologists.

As you may know, the evening also features a live charity auction that benefits the River Fund, Inc. This sensational event is one of the Laughlin Chamber’s major fundraising events. Each year, the Laughlin Chamber makes a commitment to donate a minimum of $15,000 to the River Fund, Inc., and in some past years we have been able to donate over $20,000 – and this year with ticket sales and proceeds from the auction combined. Last night, we were able to donate $28,900 – coming in at just under our highest ever recorded donation of $30k in 2019!

“I would say that is pretty amazing, coming back after Covid and raising just as much money as we did in 2019. We can only hope to keep this tenacity for many years to come.” added Wallin.

We have to pay special acknowledgement to Chef Dean Weitz of The New Pioneer, who raised over $3200 alone by donating his talents and services by providing an In-home private dining experience for 10 (x2!) When Chef’s Food Fest guests heard the news, they began to raise their paddles immediately – even engaging in a healthy battle of the wallets! In the end, two guests managed to ‘up the ante’, expressing their interest in paying extra for an even larger party. But one package wasn’t enough! Both guests were eager to pay more than $2k a piece for each of their own parties of 20! And Chef Weitz was more than willing to oblige, selling both packages for over $3k!

If you or your business are interested in participating in next year’s event or would like to attend next year’s event, please contact Michelle@laughlinchamber.com or dial 702-298-2214 Ext. 3.
