LAUGHLIN, NV – Before the Pandemic hit us in 2019, the Annual Chefs Food Fest had always been one of the most anticipated culinary events in the Colorado River Region. We are beyond thrilled to bring back this event for 2023!

We at the Laughlin Chamber of Commerce cordially invite you to join us at the 33rd Annual Chef’s Food Fest!

The Chef’s Food Fest is well known as a leading community experience and has been a sellout each year, for over thirty years! During the evening our guests will enjoy endless courses, fine beverages, and exquisite confections prepared by some of our area’s top chefs and mixologists.

The 33rd Annual Chef’s Food Fest will be taking place, Thursday, June 1st at The Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin, NV and will be themed “Flavors of New England.” Following suit with the “Flavors of the Islands” theme from the 2019 event, “Flavors of the Deep South” 2018 & “Flavors of the Desert” in 2017.

In 2017, we introduced the first ever “Secret Ingredient” – Prickly Pear Cactus was a required ingredient to be used in at least one of the chef’s masterpieces in order to be judged in that category. In 2018, the secret ingredient was the ever-popular sweet potato and in 2019, passion fruit. This year will also have a secret ingredient! The secret ingredient will be announced at a later date and is expected to be used in at least one of the chef’s offerings. The best use of this ingredient will win the newest trophy category; “Best use of Secret Ingredient”! We will continue with the previous years “Best Booth”, “Best Food”, “Best Dessert”, and “Best Cocktail”.

As you may know, this evening also features a live charity auction that benefits the River Fund, Inc. This sensational event is one of the Laughlin Chamber’s major fundraising events. Each year, the Laughlin Chamber makes a commitment to donate a minimum of $15,000 to the River Fund, Inc., and in some past years we’ve been able to donate over $20,000! The proceeds assist with emergency service referrals, special cases of displaced homeless families, as well as regional disaster relief for the area.

In fact, one of the biggest auction items has always been donated by a chef! Former Chef Rick Giffen of the Strat Las Vegas has donated his time and expertise for many years – hosting a dinner party, in your home! In 2018, this amazing donation was auctioned for over $1200. The former Edgewater/Colorado Belle properties graciously mirrored the package and auctioned their time and expertise as well, earning us an extra $1000! Are you a chef that wants to donate your time for auction? Let us know!

If you would like to participate in this year’s event, please make sure to fill out the form attached and return (no later than April 30th) OR bring to the Chef’s Meeting, May 3rd at the Aquarius Casino Resort, inside the pavilion on the second floor at 3 PM. In this meeting, we will go over all of the guidelines and event timeline and instructions to retrieve your TOP SECRET INGREDIENT.

Individual tickets will also be on sale for $100 and tables will be $1000. For reservations, please contact Michelle at The Laughlin Chamber of Commerce at (702) 298-2214 ext. 3.

On this night, “We eat for others!” Ticket sales directly benefit the River Fund, Inc., which supports the underprivileged in our Tri-State community.

We look forward to hearing from you!
