MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ — The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff has been notified of 39 confirmed COVID-19 cases reported since Wednesday at noon. There are also 4 new deaths.
Of the 4 new deaths, ALL are from previously reported positive cases. Three of them are from the Bullhead City service area. One is 60-69; one is 70-79; one is 80-89. The final death is from the Kingman service area. It is a 50-59 individual.
Of the 39 new confirmed cases, there are 20 new cases in the Bullhead City service area. There are 12 new cases in the Kingman service area. There are 7 new cases in the Lake Havasu City service area. There are 0 new cases in the North County service area. There are 0 new cases in an Undetermined area of the county.
Of the 20 new confirmed cases in the Bullhead City area, 19 of them remain under investigation. One is 0-10; four are 11-19; one is 20-29; four are 30-39; two are 40-49; five are 60-69; one is 70-79; one is 80-89. The 20th and final Bullhead City area case is a 40-49 person, who is recovering at home and is linked to another case.
Of the 12 new confirmed cases in the Kingman area, ALL remain under investigation, Three are 20-29; two are 30-39; two are 40-49; two are 50-59; two are 60-69; one is 70-79.
Of the 7 new confirmed cases in the Lake Havasu City area, 6 of them remain under investigation. One is 11-19; one is 30-39; one is 50-59; three are 60-69. The 7th and final case in the Lake Havasu City area is a 40-49 person, who is recovering at home and is linked to another case.

The next COVID-19 case report will be on Monday afternoon. These reports now take place on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday afternoons.

The CDC Says Fully Vaccinated Do Not
Need to Wear Masks Outdoors in Many Situations*
Here’s another reason for adult residents of Mohave County to get a vaccination now while the providers have doses available:
Fully vaccinated people do not need to wear masks outside according to updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued yesterday. About 30% of Americans have been fully vaccinated and more than 42% have received at least one dose. The new guidance from the CDC applies to fully vaccinated individuals. The CDC says fully vaccinated people can unmask while doing physical activities outdoors alone or with members of your household like walking, running, hiking or biking; Attending a small outdoor gathering either with fully vaccinated people or a mixture of vaccinated and unvaccinated people; dining at an outdoor restaurant with friends from multiple households.

Mohave County Health Director Denise Burley says “there is currently an abundant supply of the Moderna vaccine available throughout the county to handle any vaccination needs.” She adds, “the county’s providers can definitely meet any demand.”
All those who want a vaccination and have been putting it off for whatever reason, should know that now is the absolute perfect time to make that appointment with little or no waiting for the first dose of Moderna.
