47 New COVID-19 Cases Reported

Since Friday at Noon

There are 3 New Deaths

One of Those Deaths is First in 20-29 Range

20,733 Total Positives / 634 Total Deaths

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (May 24, 2021) — The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff has been notified of 47 confirmed COVID-19 cases reported since Friday noon. There are also 3 new deaths.

All 3 new deaths are previously reported positive cases and in the Bullhead City service area. One is 20-29 and is the first death in the county in that age range.  The other two deaths are 50-59 and 70-79.

Of the 47 new confirmed cases, there are 28 new cases in the Bullhead City service area. There are 10 new cases in the Kingman service area. There are 9 new cases in the Lake Havasu City service area. There are 0 new cases in the North County service area. There are 0 new cases in an Undetermined area of the county.

ALL 47 new confirmed cases remain under investigation.

Of the 28 new confirmed cases in the Bullhead City area, eleven of them are in the 11-19 age range; four are 20-29; four are 30-39; five are 40-49; one is 50-59; two are 60-69; one is 70-79.

Of the 10 new confirmed cases in the Kingman area, one is 11-19; two are 20-29; one is 30-39; one is 40-49; three are 50-59; two are 60-69.

Of the 9 new confirmed cases in the Lake Havasu City area, one is 30-39; two are 40-49; five are 50-59; one is 60-69.

The next COVID-19 case report will be on Wednesday afternoon.  These reports now take place on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday afternoons.

Mohave County Health Director Denise Burley states that COVID-19 vaccinations “are readilt available in the county. If you are having a problem making an appointment with a provider, there are others available.”

Pfizer Vaccine Now Available to

12-17 Year Olds in Mohave County

The Mohave County Department of Public Health has now allocated Pfizer vaccine to the following providers this week. Two doses are required and this vaccine can be administered to the 12-17 age group. In Mohave County, that is approximately 10,000 individuals.)

  • Bullhead City:         DeeFlat Pharmacy

                                            Riverside Pharmacy

  • Lake Havasu City:  Sunrise Pharmacy

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Mohave County Department of Public Health staff review case information for accuracy and completeness.  There are a number of reasons for the adjustments, including the removal of cases that did not have a permanent address in Mohave County, reconciliation of cases reported twice or not originally reported, and removal of probable cases.

Steps you can take to prevent the spread of COVID-19 include:

ü  Avoid crowds

ü  Avoid poorly ventilated spaces

ü  Wash your hands often
