47 New COVID-19 Cases Reported Since Friday Noon

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 5, 2021) — The Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff has been notified of 47 new confirmed COVID-19 cases reported since Friday noon.. There is also 1 new death.

The one new death is a 20-29 person in the Lake Havasu City service area.  This is the youngest person in Mohave County to have died from COVID-19.

Of the 47 new confirmed cases, there are 9 new cases in the Bullhead City service area. There are 20 new cases in the Kingman service area. There are 18 new cases in the Lake Havasu City service area. There are 0 new cases in the North County service area. There are 0 new cases in an Undetermined area of the county.

Of the 20 new cases in the Kingman area, 19 remain under investigation.  Three are 0-10; three are 11-19; three are 20-29; two are 30-39; two are 40-49; two are 50-59; three are 60-69; one is 80-89. The final Kingman area case is a 30-39 individual, who is recovering at home and is linked to another case.

Of the 18 new cases in the Lake Havasu City area, one is 0-10; two are 11-19; two are 20-29; four are 30-39; five are 40-49; one is 60-69; three are 70-79.

Of the 9 new cases in the Bullhead City area, ALL of them remain under investigation.  One is 0-10; one is 11-19; one is 20-29; two are 30-39; two are 50-59; two are 60-69.



 County Hosts Lake Havasu City Walk-In Event

Single Dose Johnson & Johnson Vaccine

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ  (April 2, 2021) – Some good news for any adult in the Lake Havasu City area who wants to get a single dose only vaccination.  The Mohave County Health Department is hosting a walk-up vaccination event next Wednesday, April, 7 from 8:00am to 3:00pm.  Doses will be administered in the training room at the Northside Fire Station, 2065 N Kiowa Blvd. (Please access the fire station by utilizing College Drive. Signs will be posted in the vicinity to assist.)

There are 250 appointments available for this single dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine.

Appointments are required. Those seeking the vaccination must make an appointment by registering online (after 5pm today) The link is: https://podvaccine.azdhs.gov/

Individuals can also phone the County Call Center at 928-753-8665 on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday between 8am-5pm.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The Mohave County Department of Public Health staff review case information for accuracy and completeness.  There are a number of reasons for the adjustments, including the removal of cases that did not have a permanent address in Mohave County, reconciliation of cases reported twice or not originally reported, and removal of probable cases.

 Steps you can take to prevent the spread of COVID-19 include:

ü  Wear a mask over your nose and mouth

ü  Stay at least 6 feet away from others who do not live with you

ü  Avoid crowds

ü  Avoid poorly ventilated spaces

ü  Wash your hands often

ü  Cover coughs and sneezes

ü  Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces

ü  Stay home if you feel sick

ü  Monitor your health daily
