50 animals came into the Mohave County Animal Shelter on Friday Feb 21 st . Unbelievable that there are so many unwanted animals on a given day in Mohave County. One momma and her litter of puppies were transferred to Cheri DaLynn at For the Love of Paws and another momma and litter of puppies were transferred to a rescue partner in Las Vegas. The other animals will remain at the shelter until they are vaccinated and have their spay/neuter surgeries to get them ready for adoption to their furever homes.

With this many animals coming in along with the usual 200 animals at the shelter on any given day, the need for donations is high. Monetary donations sent to Friends of Mohave County Animal Shelter PO Box 1224 Kingman AZ 86402 are 100% tax deductible and a receipt will be sent to you. Donations of dog and puppy food, cat and kitten food and kitty litter are always welcome at the shelter at 950 Buchanan
St Downtown Kingman. Orders may be placed on Chewy.com and delivered to the shelter as well.

Friends of Mohave County Animal Shelter will be at PetSmart in Kingman and Bullhead for their National Adoption Weekend on Friday Feb 28 th and Saturday Feb 29 th with puppies and older dogs of various breeds and sizes from the Mohave County Animal Shelter. Cats and kittens are usually available at both locations every day.
