9-year-old boy from Golden Valley killed in quad accident

UPDATE- DEATH INVESTIGATION- GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are actively investigating the death of Alexander Lee, 9 of Golden Valley. On Thursday (1/30) at approximately 6:45 PM, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a missing child that was last seen around 12 PM, riding a green quad. Search and Rescue Units were activated, and arrived at the residence in the 4000 block of Dewey Rd. in Golden Valley. Searchers canvased the area and at approximately 9:15 PM, the child was located in a wash near Estrella Rd. and Chino Dr. The quad was located nearby and it appeared to Detectives that a traffic incident had occurred, causing the child to be ejected from the quad. CPR and life saving measures were administered by medical personnel, however Alexander was declared deceased on scene. This investigation is ongoing.

At approximately 9:15pm last night Alexander was located deceased and the investigation is ongoing. Our prayers are with his family.

MISSING CHILD: GOLDEN VALLEY
 
The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue is requesting the public’s assistance to locate Alexander Lee, a 9-year-old boy who has gone missing near Dewey and Agua Fria in Golden Valley. He is approximately 5-foot 2-inches, sandy blonde hair, brown/greenish eyes and wearing a black jacket with red and white stripes on the sleeves, blue shirt, blue jeans, black shoes and a blue and black street bike helmet. He was on a 1996 Yamaha 600 quad (dark green in color) and last seen around noon. If you have any information on his whereabouts, please call the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office at 928-753-0753.
