AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – TOPOCK

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office arrested Jacob Michael Kennedy, 23 of Topock on Monday (7/27) afternoon for aggravated assault, criminal damage and disorderly conduct with a weapon, felonies. Approximately 3:00 pm, deputies responded to a residence in the 4500 block of Park Drive and observed Kennedy in the driveway yelling at multiple people at the residence. After a brief struggle, Kennedy was taken into custody. While at the residence, deputies observed two vehicles on the property with broken windows. Inside the residence, deputies observed numerous broken items on the floor. Deputies contacted the female victim who advised Kennedy had been drinking and became upset. She reported that he began to break items and stab walls inside the residence. The victim told deputies that during the incident, Kennedy choked her causing her to fall to the ground. The victim advised that during the altercation, Kennedy discharged a firearm in the residence nearly striking her. Detectives responded to the scene and located the weapon and a shell casing inside the residence. Kennedy was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
