Press Release

In a long standing tradition, the local American Cancer Society (ACS)
Relay for Life Cancer Walk has always been on the first Friday of
May.  Traditions are great, but sometimes new ones can be even
better.  One new tradition was made last year when the 2017 Tri-State
Relay for Life was moved into the beautiful, climate controlled Mojave
Crossing Event Center with no weather worries as in previous years.
We had a great turnout with a lot of team participation and such
positive feedback for moving the event indoors.  The 2018 Tri-State
Relay for LIfe will also be held at the Mojave Crossing Event Center
but another new tradition will be a new time, from 10:00 am to 10:00
pm.  The event leadership committee made this change so more
teams will be able to participate and more families can come and be
part of the fun.

One more new tradition is in the works for the Tri-State Relay for Life
by changing the date to Saturday, December 1, 2018. This will give
the winter visitors a chance to join us in participating in this amazing
event to raise money for the American Cancer Society.  Since it is also
a slower part of the year for the casinos and the local area, this will be
a great time to add more excitement to the area with more team
challenges.

If you would like more information, sign up on a team, start your own,
or register as an individual, survivor, or caregiver please send an
email to tristaterelay@gmail.com or visit the website at

Staff Partner Brittney Moore at 928-380- 8481 or local event co-leader
Ashley Hendren 928-219- 7015. We look forward to seeing you all in
December to honor and remember those who have fought this terrible
disease.
