BULLHEAD CITY – The Anderson Auto Group of Bullhead City, Kingman and Lake Havasu City has been awarded naming rights for the new voter-approved fieldhouse being built by the Colorado River Union High School District (CRUHSD).

The 125,000 square foot indoor arena, located at the southwest end of the Bullhead Parkway adjacent to the Mohave Crossroads Shopping Center, will be known as the “Anderson Auto Group Fieldhouse.”

CRUHSD Superintendent Riley Frei made the announcement during Tuesday’s Bullhead City Council meeting.

The sponsorship is for $125,000 annually for five years, and is renewable after that.

“We’re extremely pleased to partner with a wonderful community-based and community-minded family business in Mohave County,” said School Superintendent Riley Frei. “The District and Anderson Auto Group share the same vision for quality academics, and we look forward to this partnership continuing well into the future.”

Anderson Auto Group was selected following a competitive bidding and review process that included several major businesses in the Tri-State area. A naming ceremony at the Fieldhouse site, 3663 Bullhead Parkway, will be held on June 23.

“We are very excited and honored to be the naming rights partner for the all-new CRUHSD Fieldhouse,” said Anderson Auto Group owner Jason R. Anderson. “This state of the art facility is a tremendous addition to this region of Arizona. This will provide a sports and activities experience that is second to none. We are a community minded organization and supporting this project with CRUHSD and the citizens of Bullhead City is something we wanted to be a part of.”

The public open house marking the naming rights will be held at the Fieldhouse construction site on Saturday, June 23, beginning at 8:30 am. Virtual reality tours will show what the Anderson Auto Group Fieldhouse will look like when completed, which is expected in the first quarter of next year.

Updated artist renderings and construction site photos are available on the current website, www.crsfieldhouse.com, which will soon transition to a new online address reflecting the Anderson sponsorship.

The naming rights contract will be formally presented to the CRUHSD school board at its June 25 meeting.

Anderson Auto Group currently owns five dealerships in the Tri-state area: Anderson Ford in Bullhead City, Anderson Ford and Lincoln in Kingman, and Anderson Chrysler, Anderson Nissan and Anderson Toyota in Lake Havasu City. It has had a presence in the region for 20 years, including two years in Bullhead City.

In addition to athletic facilities, the Anderson Auto Fieldhouse will also have classrooms for several CRUHSD career-technical and vocational educational programs.

Frei said that additional Fieldhouse sponsorships are being signed on a frequent basis. A variety of levels are available through CRUHSD’s marketing partner, International Coliseums Company. Contact information is posted on the Fieldhouse website.
