Anderson Field House Brush Fire (Fieldhouse was not threatened)

On Monday, May 25, 2020, at approximately 9:25 PM, the Bullhead City Fire Department was dispatch to the report of a brush fire that had broken out behind the Anderson Field House. Engine 751 arrived first on the scene, completing a quick survey of the area. It was determined that the fire spanned approximately 3 acres in size, and the field house was not threatened. Battalion Chief McCabe arrived shortly after requesting to notify the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to have a type six truck respond to assist and monitor the fire overnight.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time. The incident was turned over to the Bureau of Land Management, and all BCFD units cleared the scene.
