KINGMAN, Ariz. – The City of Kingman is celebrating the second full week of April (April 10-16, 2022) as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. This week, sponsored by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International and celebrated annually, honors the thousands of men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render life-saving assistance to the world’s citizens.

Kingman Fire Chief Jack Yeager said, “This is a very special week to recognize our first line of emergency response, and I could not be prouder of the men and women who serve in our 911 Communications Center. In the most difficult circumstances, these individuals never know what they will be faced with when they answer a call for service, but they do so with professionalism, a customer-service mindset, and ultimately the safety of our community and the Police, Fire, and EMS personnel.”
