PHOENIX, AZ – Arizona Treasurer Kimberly Yee highlighted the impressive performance of the Permanent Land Endowment Trust Fund (PLETF) at the State Board of Investment Meeting held yesterday.

Demonstrating notable fiscal milestones, Yee announced that the PLETF had experienced a record-breaking month, achieving a market value of over $8.89 billion as of July 31, 2024. This represents an immense increase of 53.4% since her induction to office in January 2019, accenting the extraordinary growth and fiscal management during her term.

Furthermore, Yee reported PLETF’s 10-year annualized total return at 8.28%, a clear demonstration of the trust fund’s strong and consistent performance. “PLETF 10-year returns have outperformed average U.S. college and university endowments for 10 years consecutively,” Yee noted, underscoring the fund’s exceptional financial track record.

Highlighting the direct benefits that stakeholders will receive, Yee also disclosed that $481 million in PLETF distributions will be made in FY25. This key information conveys the significant financial impact it will have on beneficiaries.

The latest update from Treasurer Yee exhibits a strong testament to the significantly successful stewardship of Arizona’s Permanent Land Endowment Trust Fund.
