BURGLARY/ THEFT- GOLDEN VALLEY Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Dean Alden Collins Jr. (35) and John Duane Henry (53), both of Golden Valley, for Attempted Theft of Means of Transportation, 2nd Degree Burglary, 3rd Degree Burglary, and Criminal Damage, all felonies. On May 12, Deputies responded to a home in the 5300 block of Burro Dr. for a burglary in progress. The homeowner advised deputies his security cameras had alerted him to two male subjects on his property. Deputies arrived on scene and observed Collins and Henry with black bags full of items from the workshop of the home. Both subjects were detained and a search of the residence was conducted for additional subjects. A search of the residence with the property owner revealed that multiple doorways and windows on the property had been damaged for entry. A vehicle inside the workshop had the ignition damaged and burglary tools were located on the front seat. The black bags carried by the burglars had been removed from inside the property and two security cameras on the property had been damaged during the break in. Dean Alden Collins Jr. and John Duane Henry were arrested and transported to the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility in Kingman without incident. Collins was also charged with an active arrest warrant.

DRUG/ WEAPON POSSESSION- FORT MOHAVE Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Melissa Jean Sistar, 45 of Fort Mohave, for Possession of a Weapon by a Prohibited Person, Possession of a Weapon during a Drug Offense, Dangerous Drug Possession, and Drug Paraphernalia Possession, all felonies. On Thursday (5/19) at 3:45 AM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a white sedan in the 4400 block of Highway 95. Deputies contacted the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, identified as Sistar, who advised that her driver’s license was suspended. Deputies observed a black handgun on the driver’s side floor board and it appeared that Sistar was attempting to conceal the weapon with her feet. Deputies asked Sistar multiple times if there were any weapons in the vehicle and Sistar continuously avoided answering the question. Deputies asked Sistar to step out of the vehicle and consent was given to search the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed a 9mm handgun and approximately 1 gram of a crystal-like substance that tested positive for methamphetamine in Sistar’s purse. A records check revealed Sistar to be a convicted felon currently on felony probation. Melissa Jean Sistar was arrested and transported to the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility in Kingman without incident.
