ARSON- DOLAN SPRINGS
On Tuesday (12/8), at approximately 5:55 AM, the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office received several calls in reference to a residential structure fire located in the 8400 block of W. 7th St. in Dolan Springs. Fire personnel with the Lake Mohave Ranchos Fire Department responded to the scene and observed the residence to be fully involved in fire. There was no one believed to be in the residence, which was later confirmed, at the time of the fire.
Due to suspicious circumstances surrounding the start of the fire, Detectives with the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the scene. During the course of the investigation, video was obtained from the homeowner and identified the suspect as Sabrina Lynn Nulsen, 29. Sabrina was identified as the niece of the homeowner/victim. Sabrina is seen on video unlawfully entering the back door to the residence at approximately 5:39 AM. At approximately 5:41 AM, Sabrina is seen exiting out the back door of the residence and start to run. At approximately 5:43 AM, smoke is seen coming from the residence. At approximately 5:47 AM, both smoke and fire begin to bellow from the residence. At approximately 5:48 AM, flames and smoke continue and the camera shuts down due to the fire. There was no one else identified on the property from the video. Sabrina use to live at the residence, however had been evicted approximately one month ago.
At approximately 8:59 AM, Detectives located Sabrina walking down the road approximately 3 miles north of the fire. Sabrina was wearing the same clothing identified in the video, with the exception of having shed her sweatshirt. Sabrina refused to talk about the fire and denied being on the property. Sabrina Lynn Nulsen was arrested for Arson of a Structure, 1st Degree Criminal Trespassing, and Criminal Damage, all felonies, and transported to the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility. The residence was a manufactured home and was completely destroyed. The residence was valued at approximately seventy thousand dollars and the value of the contents was estimated at twenty thousand dollars. This investigation is ongoing.
