ARSON- KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Detectives arrested Joshua Ross Murray, 30 of Kingman, for one felony count of Arson of a Structure/ Property. On Monday (1/4) at approximately 11 AM, Detectives and Kingman Fire Department Arson Investigators responded to a structure fire located at 2800 E. Northern Ave in reference to a possible arson. The property was found to be a vacant commercial building and had not had power since 2016.

During the investigation, Detectives and KFD Arson Investigators contacted a male subject in the area. While speaking with the subject, later identified as Murray, he admitted to starting the fire. Murray had previously been associated with trespassing at this property. The structure was determined to be a total loss and damage estimated at approximately $70,000. Joshua Ross Murray was arrested and transported to the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility in Kingman without incident. This investigation is ongoing.
