BULLHEAD CITY—Officials with Bullhead City Animal Care & Welfare (ACW) is seeking a dog owner who reportedly dumped their dog in a commercial dumpster.
Bullhead Police spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said on Wednesday, Sept. 5 at about 10 a.m., the trash company called ACW to a report a dog in a commercial size dumpster in the Mohave Crossroads Shopping Complex, 3600 block of Highway 95.
According to ACW officers, they were shocked to see a Mastiff dog alive in the large dumpster. The Mastiff is an older male dog and currently receiving care and treatment at the shelter. The dog has no identifiers/microchip.
ACW is asking for any information on this incident to help identify the dog’s owner for prosecution purposes of abandonment/animal cruelty. If anyone has any information, please contact the Bullhead City Animal Care & Welfare Shelter at 928-763-6000.
