BCFD receives a grant for lifesaving equipment from the Western Arizona Council of EMS

Bullhead Fire Assistant Chief of Preparedness and Professional Development Forrest Taylor, Administrative Captain R. Gordon, Captain Peddycord, and FF/EMT E. Crawford showcase the ten new Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) that were obtained through the Western Arizona Council of EMS (WACEMS).

The new lifesaving equipment will be placed on our fireboat, OHV, command staff vehicles, and administrative building. AEDs or automated external defibrillators, are used to help those experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. A medical device that can analyze the heart’s rhythm and, if necessary, deliver an electrical shock, or defibrillation, to help the heart re-establish an effective rhythm.
