On Friday (06/17/22) at approximately 1:45 p.m. E721, E731, E711, M711, BC 7, and RH719 were dispatched to the 300 block of Lee Ave. for a reported structure fire.  E721’s crew arrived on the scene reporting active fire coming from a mobile home and quickly began an offensive fire attack after confirming that all occupants had evacuated the home. Battalion Chief T. Queen arrived on the scene assuming command directing all other incoming units. Upon entry of the residence, firefighters reported heavy fire in the back bedroom. Crews were able to quickly contain and extinguish the blaze keeping the fire from spreading throughout the residence. No injuries were reported during the incident and the cause of the fire remains under investigation at this time.

We would like to remind all citizens to keep fire safety a top priority, as our environment is extremely dry, and windy. It only takes one spark to ignite a fire.
