KINGMAN—Authorities say the Austrian cyclist hit by a truck last week has died from his injuries. The bicyclist has been identified as Stefan Ganster.

Ganster was traveling through Kingman before being struck by a truck in downtown Kingmam on April 5.

Kingman Police Deputy Chief Rusty Cooper said the accident happened in the 1200 block of West Beale Street shortly after 11 a.m.

Investigations show a Dodge pickup truck, driven by a 59-year-old man from Chloride, was reportedly traveling westbound Beale Street when he changed lanes, striking the bicyclist, who was riding in the curb lane.

The collision caused the bicyclist to be thrown, causing serious and life-threatening injuries. He was immediately taken to University Medical Center in Las Vegas for medical care.

Cooper said vision obstruction and speed may be a contributing factor in the crash. No citations have been insides at this time. The identity of the driver has not been released.
