19 New COVID-19 Cases; All Ages

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (May 14, 2020) Late this afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 19 positive COVID-19 cases and one death. Thirteen of the cases are in the Kingman service area; three are in the Lake Havasu City service area and three are in the North County (smaller communities).  Kingman area is the latest Mohave County COVID-19 death. The one death is of a 55-65 age range person, who is a previously identified case and is linked to a confirmed case.

Five of the 13 Kingman cases are in isolation, recovering at home, and linked to another confirmed case. One of them is in the 20-44 age range; two of them are 65+, one is 45-54, and one is 55-64. Six of the Kingman cases are in isolation, recovering at home, and have an investigation pending.  One of those cases is under 20; three are in the 20-44 year age range; and

two are 45-54 year age range. The final two Kingman cases are hospitalized, both 65+ and linked to another case.

The three North County cases are all in a younger range – 20-44. Two of them are in isolation, recovering at home, and linked to another case.  An investigation is pending on the third one, who is also in isolation and recovering at home.

The three Lake Havasu City cases are all linked to another case, in isolation, and recovering at home.  One is 45-54.  The other two are 65+

There are now 50 positive confirmed cases in the Lake Havasu City area, including four deaths, 160 in Kingman, with a total of 20 deaths there, 7 cases in “North County,” formerly referred to as “Other”(composed of a number of smaller Mohave County communities,)  and 19 in Bullhead City, including one death.  There are a total of — 24 deaths in the county from the disease. Total positive cases –236. Total of 25 deaths.

ALSO: The Arizona testing blitz continues with free testing taking place Saturday, May 16 from 6am to 11am at Lake Havasu City’s Aquatic Center, 100 Park Avenue.  It’s on a first come/first served basis.
