On Wednesday (8/21), The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Division of Boating Safety responded to the South Basin of Lake Havasu, just outside of the No Wake Zone of Thompson Bay, for a report of a juvenile that had been struck by a boat. Upon arrival, Deputies determined that a 17 year old male juvenile had departed from a vessel while it was moving. The vessel and it’s propellor struck the male, who then disappeared below the water’s surface and did not resurface. Deputies from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Division of Boating Safety, and members of the MCSO Dive Rescue and Recovery Team are currently on scene investigating and searching for the missing victim.
