Body-Worn Camera Program

BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. – April 13, 2021 – The Bullhead City Police Department is implementing a body-worn camera (BWC) program. Many law enforcement agencies use BWCs as another tool to gather evidence, record police encounters with citizens and for the purpose of everyone’s safety. “We know how important it is to continue a great relationship with our supportive community and body-worn cameras can be valuable in maintaining trust, transparency and accountability,” said Bullhead City Police Chief Robert Trebes.

A total of 60 Bullhead City police officers will be outfitted with Axon body-worn cameras when the program is fully implemented by the end of April, 2021. This month, Axon will train all uniformed patrol officers and supervisors who will be issued BWCs. BWCs record both audio and video and will be activated upon all enforcement and investigative contacts, furthering the police department’s efforts to increase community trust and transparency.
