1/20/2020 12pm Update:
This morning City officials, crews and contactors met to create the repair plan to remove the existing 16″ water pipe in the bridge and install the new line the night of Wednesday January 22nd around 8pm. This will include an estimated 3 hours to drain the line and begin repairs overnight when the water use is at the lowest. Water service will be available throughout the City during the repair hours. A strategic backup plan has been put in place in case we encounter any setbacks and or difficulties.
Twenty-two (22) additional pallets of water has been donated by St. Mary’s Food Bank out of Phoenix, AZ and will be delivered by Needles very own Firehouse Ministries and made available.
A flyer is being sent out to all customers to advise to conserve water until the repairs are achieved.
Desert Vista Park has had a disruption of service due to interior, private owned line issues. The City has been advised a plumber will return today to complete their line repairs.
Needles Marina Resort has a minor valve issue in the interior of their park and has had minor disruption of service.
