Brush Fire

On Thursday, April 13, 2023, at approximately 9:50 am, Bullhead Fire Department crews were dispatched to the area of 600 Highway 95 for a reported brush fire. The brush fire was confirmed in the area to the west of the Riverside parking lot along the Colorado River and additional units were requested. Battalion Chief Tom Queen was the incident commander. The fire consumed approximately 12 acres. No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged.

Units from Bullhead Fire Department included: L721, E731, M721, M731, ET722, WT728, and B726.

Additional manpower on scene consisted of Assistant Chief Taylor, Captain Gordon, and Captain Gifford.

Fort Mojave Mesa Fire Department, Mohave Valley Fire Department, and the Laughlin/Bullhead International Airport Fire Department provided mutual aid. Units included: B813, WT928, Bat9 and ARFF1611. The Bullhead Fire CERT team provided rehab for the crews.

Please be advised that smoke may be seen in the area for several days. Bullhead Fire Department has a unit on scene and will be monitoring the area.
