FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BULLHEAD CITY, AZ., October 1, 2026 – Bullhead City continues to make progress following this week’s significant storm and heavy rainfall, with major roadway closures now lifted and City crews continuing cleanup, repairs, and recovery efforts throughout the community.

As of today, all previously reported storm-related roadway closures – Laughlin Ranch Boulevard from Highway 95 to Bullhead Parkway, Summit Drive near Montana Wash, and Country Club Drive south of Mohave Drive – have been reopened. City crews have continued working in affected areas to remove debris, address roadway impacts, and restore access following the storm. The City appreciates the public’s patience as crews worked through widespread storm impacts. The reopening of these roadways, such as Laughlin Ranch Boulevard, represents significant progress as the City works to restore normal access throughout the community.

While major roadways have reopened, some areas remain closed as the City addresses damage caused by flooding and continues recovery work. The following updates are in effect:

• Yale Drive and Colorado Rio Vista river access areas will remain closed. Flooding caused damage to asphalt and concrete at both river access locations. Extensive repair work is required, and the closures will remain in place while the City assesses the damage and completes necessary repairs. Additional information will be provided as work progresses.

• City Parks are open. Residents and visitors may return to City parks, although some areas within individual parks may remain closed or have limited access while crews continue cleanup, repairs, and assessments. The public is asked to follow posted closure signage and directions from City staff.

• All City athletic fields, including soccer fields and baseball/softball fields, are now open. City staff have assessed field conditions following the storm and determined the fields are ready to reopen.

• South Beach at Community Park is anticipated to reopen by the end of this week, provided conditions continue to allow. City crews are making progress farther south in the park as cleanup and recovery work continues.

• The first Farmers Market of the season is scheduled for Saturday, October 3. Access into Community Park is currently open south to approximately the horseshoe area, with crews continuing work farther south toward South Beach. The public is asked to be cautious and follow posted closure signage and directions from City staff, as certain areas may have limited access while cleanup and assessments continue.

• Bullhead City Municipal Community Pool at Ken Fovargue remains closed until further notice. The pool will remain closed until power can be fully restored and the facility evaluated to ensure a safe reopening. The City will provide an update as soon as the pool is able to reopen.

Residents and visitors are asked to continue obeying all posted barricades and traffic control and to avoid closed areas while repair work and assessments continue. Although storm-affected areas remain visible, the City appreciates the community’s continued patience as crews address the remaining cleanup, assessments, and repairs.

City crews will continue working throughout the community to address storm-related impacts and restore affected public areas. Residents are asked to exercise caution around active work areas, follow posted barricades and traffic control, and give City crews and equipment plenty of room to operate safely. Anyone who notices an area requiring special attention or additional assistance is encouraged to report directly through Bullhead City Direct or online at BullheadCityAZ.gov/BullheadCityDirect. These reports help City staff identify areas that may require extra attention as recovery efforts continue.

The City appreciates the community’s continued patience, cooperation, and support as Bullhead City works through the remaining storm recovery efforts.
