Bullhead City, Arizona, August 21, 2026

Bullhead City staff, City contractors, and utility companies will work on a series of maintenance and capital improvement projects during the week of August 24. The projects include:

• McCormick Construction will continue work on the newly paved southbound right-hand turn lane of Highway 95 into the future City Centre development between Marina Blvd and Riverview Dr.

• Southwest Gas, in partnership with Northern Pipeline Construction Co. (NPL), will continue installing a new gas main along Bullhead Parkway between Laughlin Ranch Boulevard and Landon Drive through September. Work will take place daily from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. It will require intermittent lane restrictions at the intersection of Bullhead Parkway and Laughlin Ranch Boulevard, as well as southbound right-lane closures along Bullhead Parkway. No full road closures are anticipated, and access through the area will be maintained.

• Bullhead City Utilities will be replacing and installing approximately 10 new fire hydrants at various locations across the city. This is part of the City’s water master plan to upgrade and replace hundreds of aging hydrants with state-of-the-art units.

• A contractor working for Bullhead City Utilities will repair an asphalt patch on Hancock Road near the intersection of Trane Road on Monday, August 24. The inside eastbound lane and the left turn lane will be closed to traffic starting at 9:00 a.m. for a few hours.

• T.R. Orr, Inc., on behalf of the City of Bullhead City, will continue building new restrooms at Community Park, just south of the Bullhead Belle.

• The eastbound lane of Silvercreek Rd will be closed at the intersection of Gold Rush Rd, with traffic diverted into the median for several weeks as contractors upgrade the existing gas main in the right of way.

• Contractors working on behalf of Bullhead City Utilities will complete various asphalt and concrete repairs around the City in areas where recent water line repairs were made.

• Kay Constructors LLC, under contract with Bullhead City Utilities, is constructing a new aeration basin at the Section 10 wastewater treatment plant. This project is part of an overall expansion effort to increase the volume of water the City can reclaim.

• Bullhead City Utilities will continue rehabilitation of a clarifier at the Section 10 wastewater treatment plant, located at 901 Richardo Ave. The work involves draining, cleaning, and measuring the clarifier before installing new mechanical equipment and protective material to extend the lifespan of the concrete.

• Kay Constructors is also building a new clarifier at the Section 10 wastewater treatment plant.

Residents are encouraged to download the Bullhead City Direct app for Android and iOS devices to receive road closure notices and timely project updates. The app provides a direct line to City Hall for updates and reporting issues throughout the city.

The City reminds the public to only flush human waste, toilet paper, and grey water down the drain. All other waste products should be disposed of by other means to prevent damage to the City’s infrastructure. Please use caution while traveling through work zones and obey posted signage and traffic control devices.
