It was an extremely busy year for our department in 2019.  Our crews responded to over 10,000 calls for service. As we begin the new year, we would like to remind all residents to keep safety as a top priority.  Our department provides multiple Community Risk Reductions programs. Keeping our community safe is a top priority, and we are dedicated to ensuring that every resident is safe at home, at work, and at school.

Calls for service in 2019 = 10,324

Commercial Fire Alarms = 105

Fire Alarms Healthcare/School = 56

Fire Alarm Residential = 174

Brush Fires = 73

Dumpster Fires = 17

Fire Non structures = 35

Odor Investigations = 32

Fire Other = 219

Smoke Investigations = 44

Structure Fire Response = 115

Commercial Structure Fire Response = 20

Vehicle Fire Calls = 60

Fire high Angle Rescue = 1

Watercraft Accident w/injury = 34

Watercraft assist = 8

Watercraft Rescue = 35

Medical Alarms = 252

Medical Heat Exposure = 88

Medical Breathing problems = 872

Medical Chest Pain = 623

Medical CPR = 70

Medical Falls – 1,404

Motor Vehicle Accident with injury = 396

Medical poisoning/overdose = 94

Additional Medical calls for service = 5,497 including abdominal pain, altered LOC, bleeding & lacerations, medical assist, diabetic problems, seizures, unk medical assistance needed, drowning, back pain, choking, child birth, burns, animal bites and agency assists.
