Bullhead City AZ –  Bullhead City Fire Department Captain Jeff Jackson and Engineer Kenny Read departed this afternoon to join several others battling the Ridge Fire in the Hualapai Mountains about five miles south of Pine Lake. The fire broke out on Sunday evening, August 16, due to a lightning strike, which has burned 85 acres and is currently 0% contained. The length of their assignment is unknown at this time. We would like to remind members of the public that one of the most important things you can do to help during the 2020 fire year is to do your part to prevent human-caused fires. Fewer human-caused fires will not only help communities but will also preserve firefighting resources.

Let’s all do our part and remember that – Fire is everyone’s fight!
