Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Reynaldo Gaxiola, 55 of Bullhead City, for three counts of felony Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. On Monday (1/31), deputies observed a white truck driving on Highway 95, driving at a low rate of speed with its hazard lights on. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, identified as Gaxiola.

Gaxiola advised deputies that his vehicle was having mechanical issues and handed over his driver’s license. A records check revealed his license to be expired and that his sex offender registration was not current. When confronted with the findings, Gaxiola told deputies his registration was current. Due to being after hours, deputies could not confirm the registration and Gaxiola was released from the scene, however he left his vehicle on scene as it was non- operational.

The following day, deputies made contact with Bullhead City Police Department Detectives who advised that Gaxiola’s sex offender registration was not current and had not been registered since November of 2018. Deputies returned to the vehicle to find Gaxiola trying to remove the vehicle from the scene. Reynaldo Gaxiola was arrested and transported to the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility in Kingman without incident.
