The Bullhead City Police Department is releasing community notifications and accompanying driver’s license photos for level 2 and 3 sex offenders. Under Megan’s Law, law enforcement authorities are required to make information available to the public regarding registered sex offenders in these categories.

The intent of these notifications is not to increase fear, but to ensure that the community is informed. An informed community is a safer community, and the department will not tolerate the use of this information to threaten, intimidate, or harass offenders.

Residents who are concerned about sex offenders in their area can access additional information by visiting Offender Watch at https://communitynotification.com/cap_main.php?office=55590. By entering any address of interest, individuals will see a map and listing of offenders within their chosen radius. Citizens may confidentially register any address to receive ongoing alerts if an offender or predator moves near the location. Commonly monitored addresses include homes, work locations, parks, playgrounds, bus stops, or any other area of interest.

In addition, residents can register to be notified if a specific offender moves from their present address. There is no cost to register, and citizens may set up notifications for as many addresses as they wish.
