BULLHEAD CITY, Arizona – July 18, 2022 – Bullhead City is seeking applications from residents interested in serving on the Bullhead City Planning and Zoning Commission and the Bullhead Area Transit System Commission (“BATS”).
The Planning and Zoning Commission provides recommendations to the City Council as to the best present and future use to which land and buildings shall be put within the city and meets on a monthly basis. There is a residency requirement to serve on the Planning and Zoning Commission. One seat is available with a term expiring on June 30, 2024.
The BATS Commission makes recommendations to the Bullhead City Council regarding the development and maintenance of a public transportation system for the city. The BATS Commission meets quarterly on the first Monday of February, May, August, and November; and holds special meetings as required. There is no residency requirement to be eligible to serve on the BATS Commission. Two seats on the BATS Commission are currently available with terms expiring on June 30, 2023.
To be eligible, applicants should have a general understanding of the issues addressed by the commission or board seat they are applying for.

Appointments are made by the Bullhead City Council. The City Council will consider applications to fill the seats at a future Council meeting. Those submitting applications are encouraged to attend the Council meeting.
