Bullhead City Animal Care and Welfare (ACW) officers are seeking a dog and its owner for standard quarantine procedures after a recent dog bite.

Yesterday (2/28) afternoon, ACW responded to the 2200 block of Highland Dr. for a report of a 14-year-old girl who was bit by a dog. The girl was walking on the trail when a dog ran up and bit her on the leg. She suffered a minor wound.

The group of people who appeared to be with the dog quickly left after the incident. The dog was not on a leash and is described as a white and brown Pitbull mix. ACW officers searched the area, but could not locate the dog.

If anyone has any information, please call the Bureau of Animal Care and Welfare at (928) 763-6000. #bhcpdnews
