The Bullhead City Police Department has seen an increase in counterfeit bills. On February 11, Wal-Mart discovered that a man had passed a counterfeit $100 bill and left in a white/silver four-door sedan. The next day, the same man attempted to pass another $100 fake bill, but the cashier alerted a supervisor and he left without dispute or questions. On February 12, a different male and a female each passed a $100 counterfeit bill at Wal-Mart. The female was seen leaving in an older grey extended cab pickup truck.

Wal-Mart was able to capture the possible suspects on surveillance video (see attached photos). Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying these individuals for questioning. Please call (928) 763-9200 if you have any information.

The police department encourages businesses to educate their employees on detecting counterfeit money. For more information about detecting counterfeit money, log on to www.secretservice.gov.
