Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Uriah Jason Rios Jr., 22 of Bullhead City, for Attempted Theft of Means of Transportation, Possession of Burglary Tools, 3rd Degree Burglary, all felonies, and Disorderly Conduct and Trespassing, both misdemeanors. On Wednesday (10/4) at approximately 5:25 AM, deputies were called to a residence in the 1600 block of La Entrada for a reported prowler. The reporting party advised that they had the suspect on the ground at gunpoint.

Deputies arrived on scene and observed the suspect, identified as Rios, laying on the ground, being detained by the homeowner. Deputies placed restraints on Rios and spoke to the reporting party, who advised he observed the door to one of his vehicles was open. Upon further inspection, he observed another vehicle had the door cracked open with the suspects leg sticking out of the door. The reporting party then drew his handgun and ordered the suspect out of the vehicle and onto the ground before calling law enforcement.

When asked, Rios advised he had been drinking and woke up inside the vehicle. A search of Rios revealed two vehicle keys and two key fobs similar to the style used for the vehicle in his pocket. Uriah Jason Rios Jr. was arrested and transported to the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility in Kingman without incident.
