In a letter to area media and chamber members current CEO Lisa Krueger announced retirement plans after 20 years with Lake Havasu City Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber Friends,

Today I am writing to share the news that I am retiring from the Lake Havasu Area Chamber of Commerce, effective Aug. 31, 2023.

When I began my first Chamber job 27 years ago in Parker, I never dreamed this work would become my lifelong career, and one that I would grow to love. I feel fortunate to have received my first set of skills at the Chamber in Parker and am so very grateful I was hired to lead your Chamber of Commerce here in Havasu in 2002.

Since that time, I have learned so much – I literally grew into an adult here in this job. I’ve met the most amazing people, many who have become lifelong friends. I have acquired job-related skills that you just can’t learn in school, and have had amazing opportunities to travel, learn and lead. While I am looking forward to my own time now, I will miss my chamber life.

I have a long list of projects to work on, starting with my own health and wellness. And while I am retiring from the Chamber, I am not retiring from life, and you will see me around town doing my thing from time to time.

I want to thank you, member investors and friends, for your guidance, leadership, love, and the opportunities this Chamber has given me over the years. Collectively we’ve built an amazing team of leaders and volunteers, some fantastic products and I have full faith that whoever takes over the helm, will steer the Chamber into a bright and exciting future.

Members of the Chamber’s Executive Committee are serving as the “selection committee” to hire the next CEO and with this notice the process has begun. Should you know of an ideal candidate, please share the position announcement below.

Again, my very gracious thanks to all.

Lisa Krueger
