Chip Seals to Begin on Various City Roads

KINGMAN, Ariz. – The City of Kingman will begin chip seals on several area roads beginning Thursday, June 17, 2021 (map attached). During this time there will be travel delays and reduced speeds due to lane restrictions. The City of Kingman urges motorists to pay extra attention while driving in and around work zones, maintenance vehicles, and encourages the importance of maintaining safe and smart driving habits during the construction season, and at all times, when operating a motor vehicle.

Chip Seal Schedule:

  • Sunshine Drive and Rock Road 6/17/21
  • Burbank Street 6/18/21
  • Bank Street (Airway Avenue to Townsend St.) 6/18/21
  • North Stockton Hill Road (North of Gordon Drive) 6/21-6/22/21
  • Western Ave. Sycamore Ave, 6th St., Anson Smith Rd. 6/23/21
  • Fort Beale Dr. 6/24/21

Work will be completed during daylight hours and lane restrictions will be in place. Please use alternative routes if possible and obey slower speed limits in work zones. During the week of June 28, striping crews will be working to stripe the newly chip sealed roads.

Up-to-date street closures will be located on the City of Kingman’s engineering website page of interactive Maps through the city’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS):
