City of Kingman to Amend Certain Building Codes

-Comments and Questions can be Submitted until October 31, 2020-

KINGMAN, Ariz. – The City of Kingman is asking for comments on proposed amendments to the city’s building codes. People can submit comments until October 31, 2020, and the amendments will potentially be adopted by a City Council vote in December 2020. Proposed amendments are for the following:

2018 Building Code                                                 2018 Mechanical Code

2018 Residential Code                                           2018 Fuel Gas Code

2018 Fire Code                                                          2018 Plumbing Code

2018 Energy Code                                                    2018 Property Maintenance Code

2018 Existing Building Code                                 2018 Swimming Pool and Spa Code

2017 National Electrical Code

These proposed code amendments can be viewed by visiting the website: Questions or comments can be submitted by email to: [email protected]. Copies are located at the main city complex at 310 N. Fourth Street in the Community Development Department.

Because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and per the ongoing guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), no more than ten people should be gathered at the same time, therefore the city is unable to hold public meetings regarding the proposed amendments.
