City-Wide Maintenance and Capital Improvement Projects Week of April 24

BULLHEAD CITY, AZ., April 20, 2023 – City of Bullhead City staff and contractors will be working on the following projects throughout our city during the week of April 24:

  • City Public Works staff will complete the 2022-2023 season of the slurry program the week of April 23. Crews will Slurry Desert Foothills Blvd overnight the evening of Tuesday, April 18. City crews will slurry Rio Rancho from Highway 95 to Old Trails Rd during daytime hours on Thursday and Friday. City staff will be sweeping streets and sealing cracks ahead of the slurry schedule. The complete slurry schedule is always available at
  • In addition to slurry work, City crews will be filling potholes and cracks along Highway 95 from Marina Blvd to Mohave Dr overnight during Sunday and Monday evenings. The work will take place between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. each night and will focus on the inside lanes in both directions.
  • Contractors will continue to work on the new amenities being added to the North end of Community Park. The entire project at the north end of Community Park is anticipated to be completed and opened for the public before the summer of 2023.
  • Public Works staff will be working to convert the Bullhead Belle into a permanent structure at Community Park during next few months. The City plans to open the Bullhead Belle as a riverside concession stand and event gathering location during June 2023.
  • A contractor will be rehabilitating the 16-2 wastewater lift station located on Clubhouse Dr west of highway 95. The project will involve installing paneling made of Predl material to protect the well from corrosion. The city anticipates the completion of the 16-2 lift station rehabilitation project in late May. Upon the completion of the project at 16-2, the city will begin the same work at the 18-2 lift station with the expectation that the project will be completed by the end of July.
  • A contractor will continue building new pickleball courts adjacent to existing pickleball courts at Rotary Park. Concrete was recently poured for the project and is now curing. The City anticipates opening the new pickleball courts for the public in Late June.
  • City crews will continue work on a sewer extension project to connect the Marble Canyon Manor Apartments to the City’s sewer system. The City anticipates the completion of the project by May 12.

The City reminds the public to please only flush human waste, toilet paper, and grey water down the drain. All other waste products should be disposed of through other means to avoid damage the city’s infrastructure.

Please use caution while traveling through City work zones. Obey posted signage and traffic control devices.
