BULLHEAD CITY, AZ., January 12, 2023 – City of Bullhead staff and contractors will be working on the following projects throughout our city during the week of January 16:

  • City Public Works Crews and volunteer contractors are finalizing work at North Veterans Memorial around the recently added Howitzer. The city anticipates opening the memorial in February.
  • Contractors continue work on the new amenities being added to the North end of Community Park. A contractor will be onsite next week to install a rubber floor at the playground. The entire project at the north end of Community Park is anticipated to be completed and opened for the public before the summer of 2023.
  • Bullhead City Utilities crews will be conducting sewer cleaning along Sun River Rd, Florence Ave, and Landon Dr W, Sunbeam Dr, and Sunburst Dr. Sewer cleaning will also take place along several empty lots on McCormick Blvd. Sewer cleaning is a routine year-round maintenance project that keeps the wastewater system functioning optimally.
  • The Splash Pad at Ken Fovargue Park is closed while two new ramadas, three new water features, and artificial turf are installed at the site. The city anticipates the project to last approximately one month.
There will be no slurry maintenance or other pavement preservation operations performed by city staff the week of January 16. The City’s Roads Department staff will be training. Updates and schedules for the City’s slurry maintenance can always be found at www.bullheadicity.com/csmp.

McCormick Construction recently completed paving the parking lot at Gary Keith Park.

A beautification project involving landscape the rights of way on the southeast corner of Goldrush Rd and Ramar Rd was recently completed.

The City reminds the public to please only flush human waste, toilet paper, and grey water down the drain. All other waste products should be disposed of through other means to avoid damage the city’s infrastructure.

Please use caution while traveling through City work zones. Obey posted signage and traffic control devices.
