BULLHEAD CITY, AZ., March 24, 2023 – City of Bullhead staff and contractors will be working on the following projects throughout our city during the week of March 27:
- City Public Works staff will be slurry sealing the outside lanes of the Bullhead Parkway as well as Coronado Ct and Holly St Slurry work will be conducted overnight for the next few weeks while city crews finish work along busier roads and finish connections with Highway 95. City staff will be sweeping streets and sealing cracks ahead of the slurry schedule. The complete slurry schedule is always available at www.bullheadcity.com/csmp.
- Contractors continue work on the new amenities being added to the North end of Community Park. The entire project at the north end of Community Park is anticipated to be completed and opened for the public before the summer of 2023.
- A contractor on behalf of Bullhead City Utilities will be drilling an exploratory well just east of IHOP. The contractor has been drilling wells at multiple locations around the city. The Contractor has completed two test wells at the north end of the city, one test well at Community Park, and is currently wrapping up a third of three test wells at the southern end of the project.
- Public Works staff will be working to convert the Bullhead Belle into a permanent structure at Community Park during next few months. The City plans to open the Bullhead Belle as a riverside restaurant and event center May 2023.
- A new playground at Ken Fovargue Park is now under construction. The city anticipates the completion of the new playground and fall zone surface during the month of March.
- A contractor will be rehabilitating the 16-2 wastewater lift station located on Clubhouse Dr west of highway 95. The project will involve installing paneling to protect the well from hydrogen sulfide gas corrosion.
A staging area for the rehabilitation projects of the 16-2, 18-2, and 18-1 lift stations will be set up behind the 18-1 lift station east of Highway 95 in Community Park.
The City reminds the public to please only flush human waste, toilet paper, and grey water down the drain. All other waste products should be disposed of through other means to avoid damage the city’s infrastructure.
Please use caution while traveling through City work zones. Obey posted signage and traffic control devices.
