  • Contractors continue work on the new amenities being added to the North end of Community Park. New water features for the splash pad have been recently installed, along with benches and shade structures, as the project gets much closer to completion. The entire project at the north end of Community Park is anticipated to be completed and opened for the public before the summer of 2023.
  • Public Works staff will be working to convert the Bullhead Belle into a permanent structure at Community Park during next few months. The City plans to open the Bullhead Belle as a riverside concession stand and event gathering location during June 2023.

  • A contractor will be rehabilitating the 16-2 wastewater lift station located on Clubhouse Dr west of highway 95. The project will involve installing paneling made of Predl material to protect the well from corrosion. The city anticipates the completion of the 16-2 lift station rehabilitation project in late June. Upon the completion of the project at 16-2, the city will begin the same work at the 18-2 lift station with the expectation that the project will be completed in the fall of 2023.

  • City crews will be rehabilitating manholes around the city, primarily along the east side of SR-95 in the river district. The rehabilitation project is repairing and upgrading 40 manholes throughout the city that have experienced significant corrosion. The new manholes are guaranteed by the manufacturer to last 50-years. The City has rehabilitated 11 manholes since the start of the project.
Crews will be pumping water from a private well South of Laughlin ranch Blvd and Riverport Dr to test the well’s productivity. Residents in the area are advised the 24-hour test will require the use of a loud diesel generator. The test will be completed by the end of day Wednesday, May 03.

The City reminds the public to please only flush human waste, toilet paper, and grey water down the drain. All other waste products should be disposed of through other means to avoid damage the city’s infrastructure.
